Neolithic Rock Art Near Cofty's House
by cofty inmrs cofty and i went for a walk yesterday to see some ancient rock art.
we went to two sites both within 20 minutes drive of our house.
the first one is about 60 minutes walk up a hill the other about 2 minutes walk from where you can park the car.

LOL @ Billy!
Cool pics, Cofty and troubled mind. The carved circles remind me of the circle of life, a symbol used for millenia. And one that is also associated with fertility.

How many people on here have low self-esteem?
by Chemical Emotions ini do, so i was just curious.. i know the org tends to attract/cause/contribute to people having low self-esteem, so i figure a lot of people must have it as bad or worse than me..

Broken Promises
I went decades, not years, decades with depression and low self esteem... only I didn't realize it. I grew up feeling like that all the time so to me it was "normal".
Same here. I had depression and low self esteem ever since I was a kid so I didn't realise that I was supposed to feel differently. To me, being depressed was "normal".

OWWWWIE!!!! Plantar's wart.....
by palmtree67 inkk, i've had a small plantar's wart on the bottom of my big toe for a looooooong time.. recently, it started getting bigger and more painful.
i googled, and found a home remedy consisting of placing apple cider vinegar soaked cotton balls on the wart and covering it in duct tape.. can i just say......this f**cking hurts!!!!!.
it's been almost a week, and it's turned black which means (i think.....i hope) that it's working.. extremely painful.....can barely walk....it throbs constantly....i have to get up in the night and deal with it.. anyone?.

Who's "Prisca"?
Well Noni dear, it does make you sound like a moron when you admit you don't know something which could be easily looked up. But I suppose that would take too much effort for you.
Oh, and you're welcome

Thoughts and Opinions on the VAA?
by arko_n9ne inas i've posted multiple times before, i am new to many of the aspects of wts scandals so a couple weeks ago, i was on youtube and heard of a group concept from tim kilgore called the vaa (vast apostate army).. personally, i like the concept of former witnesses and anti-watchtower proponents uniting to stand against the wrong doings of the organization.
i would like their rally in a few years to succeed.
if things look promising enough, i more than likely will go.. but honestly, i don't know much about the vaa, and since it's not a concept with that "new car smell" i imagine people have more infor to offer.. i saw on older posts that witnesses are not fans of the idea of anyone banding together en masse against them, as they go to the lengths of calling the vaa a terrorist organization (though no acts of violence or tyranny have been committed or threatened).. so if anyone can offer insight into this group, it would help a man know if it's a group worth rallying with.. .

The name "Vast Apostate Army" actually started on this board in the early 2000s. It could be a coincidence but the name is not original.

You've Gotta See The Funny Side

pig picture sends up vermont police.
12:00 mon feb 6 2012 afpvermont's police force was oink-credibly embarrassed when they realized that the emblem on their squad cars had been doctored to show a pig.. long an insulting term to refer to police, a pig is hardly the symbol that uniformed officers would like to display.. but right there in the state seal mounted on most of the new england state's police cruisers there is now a curly tailed porky pig, the burlington free press reported friday.. the shield shows a, legitimate, cow among other pastoral details and the pig is drawn cleverly, although hardly discreetly, into the regular splotches on the cow's hide.. state officials noticed on thursday, then traced the prank to a prison printing shop in saint albans, the free press said.. apparently an inmate four years ago was able to modify the computer program and inserted the extra image.

Is it really paradise?
by tootired2care ini have been a jw all of my life.
after being burned out as an ms and getting tired of waiting for the end to come, and other things, i decided to start the fade process a month ago (want to keep family ties open) and start living my life.
i've noted few points gave me serious doubts about my current course.

Just a little bit why?
Just asking... and asking questions is what brings most of us here. The JWs cannot answer our questions properly yet they claim to be the only religion used by God... hmmm.
If you have questions, by all means post them up, but if you do a search of the subject using the search feature, you will find many great threads on a whole variety of subjects.
I wish you well on your spiritual journey. It will be a rocky road at times, but a journey that is worth taking every step of the way.
